Candles for Tibet

24 August 2008. At night on the eve of the closing Olympic Games in Beijing, in over 30 countries and 20 Chinese Embassies and consulates at 9 pm Tibet supporters organized candlelight vigils.

In Poland candles were lighted in front of Chinese Embassy in Warsaw, where over 300 candles formed sign FREE TIBET. Candles were lighted also in Bialystok and Wroclaw.

Candlelight vigils were part of the international campaign Candles for Tibet (www.candle4tibet.org).
